The question comes first
A bad question gives a bad reading no matter what turns up.
What decides the quality of a reading is the question, not the cards. "Does he love me?" is a bad question — the answer is not in you, it is in someone else, and cards cannot read another person's head.
Bad question, good question
- BAD: "Will I get the job?" → a yes/no question, and that is not what cards do.
- GOOD: "How should I position myself in this application?" → asks about something that is yours.
- BAD: "Does he love me?" → someone else's interior.
- GOOD: "What am I ignoring in this relationship?" → your blind spot, your responsibility.
The rule: start the question with "I", not "they". Tarot is a mirror; asking a mirror about someone else's face makes no sense.
Which is the better tarot question?
The one whose answer is yours and that you can act on.
