Landing the reading
A reading should end in one sentence.
After a good reading the person leaves with one sentence. Dozens of symbols may have been discussed, but only one thing stays; if nothing stays, the reading scattered.
Pull it together in four steps
- 1Look at the spread as a whole. What is the overall weather — heavy, moving, stuck?
- 2Focus on the loudest card. Usually one stands out.
- 3Tie it back to the question. Not what the card means, but what it answers.
- 4Get it into one sentence. If you cannot, you have not finished reading yet.
End with something concrete: a question, a place to look, an action. "Wait and see" is not a reading result.
