What astrology is not
Getting the expectation right makes the rest easier.
Astrology does not tell you the future. It is not a system that looks at positions in the sky and says "you will lose your job on Tuesday." Used that way, it is being misused.
What it does is more modest: it gives you a ready-made language for thinking about yourself and your relationships. Saying "my moon is in Cancer" is shorthand for "my emotional needs are about feeling safe." You could say that without astrology — but most people do not, because they never ask.
Where it helps, where it does not
- Where it helps: asking yourself questions, noticing a pattern, naming a difference in a relationship.
- Where it does not: making the decision for you. A chart does not say "do not take the job."
- Where it is risky: health, legal and money matters. Those need a professional, not an astrologer.
Nowhere in this course will we say "this will happen." We will say "this is what it points to — what do you think?" The difference matters.
What is a birth chart best used for?
A chart is a mirror, not a calendar. The decision is still yours.
