Conjunction and opposition
Zero degrees and a hundred and eighty. The two extremes.
Conjunction · 0°
Two planets sitting together. Their effects merge and stop being separable.
Opposition · 180°
The two ends of the wheel. It describes a choice or a tug of war.
A conjunction is not good or bad on its own; it depends entirely on which planets are sitting together. Venus with Jupiter is generosity, Mars with Saturn is compressed anger.
In an opposition both sides are valid. You usually pick one and suppress the other; the work is learning to hold both.
Oppositions usually show up in RELATIONSHIPS: you find someone carrying the side you suppressed, and then argue with them about it.
