What order to read a chart in

Without a method, a chart is just a pile of numbers.

The most common beginner mistake is starting anywhere. Read placement by placement and you get thirty separate sentences that do not add up. The order is:

  1. 1The Big Three. Get it into one sentence. Everything else is detail on top.
  2. 2Element and modality balance. What is there a lot of, and what is missing?
  3. 3Busy houses. Three planets in one house means life concentrates there.
  4. 4Planets near the angles. These are the loudest voices.
  5. 5Hard aspects. Where is the friction? (Next chapter.)
If you find contradictions while reading, you are doing it right. People are not consistent, and neither are charts. Do not try to resolve the contradiction — name it.
